BIG BAY, Mich. – As he recently played the strategic board game “Battleship” with a child, musician Drew Nelson could not help thinking about the ongoing battle to defend sacred Eagle Rock in northern Michigan that has pitted American Indian tribes and others against an international mining company.

Drew is honored to join hands with the Michigan Native and Non Native community on the Michigan State Capital Thursday June 3rd. steps to sing his song Eagle Rock (Song for the People) in protest of the proposed mining operation on the Yellow Dog River Plains and fight for religious freedom for ALL people.
